Since I'm doing my own thing at home right now, I added a bunch of basic weight training to my regiment about 2 weeks ago. Stuff like squats, lunges, pushups, some tricep and bicep work. It seems to be helping as I have a lot more definition in my arms, shoulders and legs. I also started jogging outside. Only a mile a day, but I've got to start somewhere, right? Hopefully between all that and laying off the peanut butter, I'll see the scale start to move downward again soon!

If you make it up to my area, we can always go walk part of the Centennial Trail or there are trails just a few miles from my house. I'm hoping to do some biking on them this summer...if it ever stops snowing! LOL

I don't know about this weather...I woke up to about 3 inches of snow this morning. Will it ever get warm again? LOL
Feels today like im writing from my death bed. UGG!! A bit of an update on my progress. I am in the 220's finaly. Even at the end of the night im still not seeing 230~something. I went to the doc on Tuesday and showed her the papers from when i had my weight/fat composition done. She gave me an official set goal of 189. I am 5'9" tall and according to the chart the trainer gave me at 189's I should be at 25%body fat wich for my age is a good zone to be in. Doc said when i reach that goal we will do blood work to eval my cholesterol etc. and at that time if i need to go down more we can reset that goal. Cant wait to start feeling better someday so i can get back to my work outs!!!

I only live a couple hours away from you (I live near Spokane), and this spring/summer I'll be looking for places to get the family outdoors and moving around. Would Badger Mt. be a good place for a little family trail walking? Are there any other places between Spokane and there that you know about?
We've only lived in WA for about 2 1/2 years now, so I can use all the info I can get! Thanks! :)

Don't sweat it this week. Weight loss and fitness is a bumpy course, but as long as you're generally moving in the right direction, it's cause to celebrate!
I don't know I hit a plateau or if I just haven't been eating healthy enough. It might be a combination of the two. I'm going to try really hard to honor my calorie restriction to combat the diet part of it. For the plateau, I'm incorporating HIIT into my workouts on the elliptical twice a week. Once I get into the 220s, I'll switch it up again do the Couch to 5k program so I can start running.

I'm still around, just a little busier than usual it seems. I got to the gym every day for a little over 2 weeks and now I'm out traveling this week. The goal is to hit the gym 3-4 times while I'm out here.

Today was a very hard day!! I didnt get to bed till about 11:30pm and woke at 4am to get to the gym. Today was upper body weights. I pushed myself thru the work out came home helped with making lunches and went back to bed!! Tonight is bedtime by 9 to get up and do cardio tomorrow.

Thank you!! I have come to realize. The more i put out there the more I get back. The efforts I give... exercise... eating right... keeping myself accountable to me or to someone else... giving encouragement or asking for some... It is keeping me involved in the choices I make. Not sure if that makes sense...
I just plug away at it daily and hope for the best result I can possibly give.

You are doing the right things! . . . and it's working! I see in BLC that you've come down again this week! Congratulations. I've been gradually loosing since July. Slow and easy. Small portions of food. Moving whenever and where ever I can. I am amazed at the progress when I pay attention to these tiny details. Keep up the good work, Lizzy!

Thank you!! I have been going to the gym daily at 5am. Monday, W, Friday weights. Tues, Thurs, Sat Cardio... and sunday.. light walk around the neighborhood or just kick back and take a day off. My clothes are fitting better now. So i know im going in the right direction.. Keeping a journal of what I eat thru the day is helping too!! Being accountable is always a bonus!! I report to a yahoo group weekly and the Biggest Loser group here on Traineo. Monday to the yahoo and Thursday here.. so it keeps me in check with my week.
